About WhiskList
WhiskList is a technology platform that connects home cooks and bakers with neighbors who want to order homemade goods. We provide software for cooks to set up their kitchens, schedule cook dates, manage orders, and collect payments—and for customers to browse, order, and pick up.
What We Are—and What We Are Not
WhiskList is a technology and marketplace platform. We do not prepare, store, deliver, or sell food. We are not a restaurant, food service establishment, catering business, or food producer. We provide software only: tools that enable home cooks to run their own small-scale ordering and pickup operations.
We do not employ cooks, supervise their kitchens, or control how they prepare or handle food. Cooks who use WhiskList are independent operators responsible for their own kitchens, products, and compliance with local laws.
Cook Accountability
Every cook on WhiskList is solely responsible for: food safety and hygiene; compliance with cottage food laws, health permits, and food labeling requirements; accuracy of product descriptions and allergen information; and the quality and legality of what they sell. WhiskList does not inspect or certify kitchens.
By using WhiskList, customers acknowledge they are ordering homemade food that may not be prepared in a commercial kitchen. We encourage everyone to read product descriptions, ask cooks about ingredients and allergens, and make informed decisions.
Our Mission
We built WhiskList to make it easier for local cooks to share what they make with their community. Our platform helps cooks stay organized, notify customers when batches are ready, and handle payments securely—so they can focus on cooking.
